HI-TECH PROFESSIONALS GATHER TO NETWORK, EXPAND THEIR SKILLS
AND RECOUP FROM DIFFICULT YEAR

Techshoret FOURTH Annual Technical Writers Conference
March 4, 2010 in Jerusalem International Convention Center

Israel’s technical writers, like much of the world, faced difficult economic times since they last gathered for their annual conference last year. Hoping to regain the competitive edge, learn about new directions in the industry and benefit from a unique networking experience, more than 200 technical writers are expected to gather in Jerusalem’s International Convention Center for the Fourth Annual Techshoret Communicators Conference (TCC). Featured sessions cover some of the hottest topics in the industry: Innovation, Social Media, Open Office, Documentation Management, Working in an Agile Documentation environment, and much more.

The economy will feature prominently in discussions during the sessions as well as in the large vendor area between sessions. This year, the Society of Technical Communicators in Israel (STC-Israel) has taken the initiative to offer a large number of subsidies to help significant segments of the community attend the event. Many large companies are expected to again sponsor attendance for  their technical writers, graphic artists, documentation managers and specialists, confident they will gain added knowledge and return to work enriched with new and valuable information and contacts.

Speaking after last year’s conference, technical writer Sylvia Braunstein said "Thank you so much for this great event.” Attending her first such event, one recent technical writing student graduate Ronit Goldstand said,  "the sessions were many, varied, and top-notch; the lunch was delicious; the company lovely." Mike Dubb summed it up well when he write, "Thanks for the great event, as usual!"

Registration is now open for the event and details are on the Web site: www.techshoret.com.

This year, the conference is again coordinated by WritePoint Ltd, a leading technical writing company located in Jerusalem, and is sponsored by a number of vendors and companies both here in Israel and abroad.
