A Little History

Techshoret has a long history as an email list for technical writers in Israel. Topics of discussion relate to tools, trends, terminology and more. Techshoret, a play on the Hebrew word meaning "communication," enables Israeli writers and translators, online help specialists and Web designers to ask and receive quick responses to questions they post to the list.

Currently a Yahoo! group, Techshoret is includes more than 1650 members (and growing). While Techshoret is not meant to replace internationally recognized lists (such as TECHWR-L, HATT, etc.), much of its success lies in its ability to offer Israeli technical writers almost instant answers to their tool-related questions. Techshoret also features a dynamic resume database, announcements of upcoming seminars and local events, and more.
