- Lost a
vacation day, plus we have at least a dozen days of forced vacation this
year
- In light of my recent change in circumstances, it would be interesting to know if those who are finding jobs now have had to take a cut in salary/conditions, or whether now the job market shows that freelancing is more lucrative.
- Did project for 1 month that payed 29 NIS per hour. Contract ended.
- Company added a forced vacation period of 5 days twice a year
- Worse conditions this year (no change in pay):
- 6 forced vacation days this year.
- Choice of restaurants has been cut.
- Expected to do more overtime
- All employees was asked to accept a 5% cut for 6 months.
- We were forced to take vacation days 2x in the last 6 months (8 days total)
- 4 vacation days cut off
- As was noted on Techshoret, it seems that this month there's been an uptick in advertised jobs compared to the previous months when there were sometimes no new listings for weeks at a time. Future surveys will show whether that correlates to actual hirings, and whether the various forms of belt-tightening (reduced salaries, cut vacation days, etc.) will also ease up. Let's hope we've hit rock bottom and are heading back up (and not stuck on the bottom of the north Atlantic with the remains of the Titanic)!
- Don't remember the market so bad with no signs of recovery.
- deducted 5 vacation days as a one-time cut.
- 2000nis---gas for car. Car itself is deducted from salary. No bonuses or raises recently---used to be 1 month's salary and regular raises.
- people have to combine now their job with all type of jobs that are partly unrelated to the field, maybe this should be taken into account in the next survey, to ask how many people had to move away from TW for the time being to be able to make a living.
- Not only did they cut my salary, they also took off 1 vacation day...
- We had a forced vacation, 1 week no vacation pay. Which cannot be indicated on this form.
- The company announced that the 2009 end of year bonus will be eliminated or significantly reduced. I have been with the company for four years, and the lowest bonus during this period has been equal to ~2 monthly salaries, so this is a big change.
- Forced vacation days are cutting into the number of actual vacation days.
- also one day a month not working and not getting pay. company stopped subsidizing lunches at all
- I just want to comment that our salaries are frozen. No scheduled increased until at least sometime after July 2010.
- Have been working as a freelancer at one company for many years. Hours cut from 180 to 140 per month
- My salary has not gone down, although I did not have a raise when I was supposed to, so I marked it as 'My salary went down' (there is no option for the salary staying the same).
- My salary has stayed the same but the amount of work I have to do has increased because of layoffs of other people. I feel like I have a double workload.
- 20% was cut in November '08
