During this survey we received 129 responses. We plan to run this survey again in about three months time to see if we can track the market (and hopefully report an upswing...well, here's hoping...). Average salary for 88 technical writers who answered this question: 15,753.64

Highest salary reported: 24,600 NIS per month

Lowest salary reported:  7,000 NIS per month

Question 7 related to how your salary has changed over the last three months. Twenty one people responded:

Question 8 related to how much freelancers charge per hour. Thirty-three people answered this question:

Average rate for 33 freelancers (in NIS/hour): 130.36

Highest salary reported: 220 NIS per hour

Lowest salary reported: 60 NIS per hour

In this case, some indicated that they were freelancers working for other technical writing companies, as opposed to the higher rates, likely reported from freelancers working directly with companies. In the next survey, we will attempt to differentiate between these two rates.
