Salary Surveys

For more than four years now, Techshoret has been running salary surveys to help you know where the industry is holding. We’ve watched the trends and timed the surveys to assist you. We created the surveys according to the simple concept that short is better and longer and more in-depth will end with fewer participants.

Our surveys are anonymous – in that we do not know the names and truth behind those who join. However, we monitor the results and if we find a result that is so far out of range it would skewer the results, we remove it from any calculations we make. We also release all raw data so that you can draw your own conclusions.

The results of our surveys are free and available to all. You do not have to participate; you do not have to ask all the questions; and you do not have to identify yourself either to participate or to get the results…anonymous.

Below is a listing for currently available surveys according to the month/year in which it was completed:

One Response to Salary Surveys

  1. SD says:

Some writers work part-time, and so the salary information they provide skews the survey results.
To align their salary with everyone else’s, I suggest asking on the next survey:
If you work part-time, calculate what your salary would be if you worked full-time at the same rate. For example, if you work 3/5 of a full-time position, determine what your full-time salary would be by multiplying your actual salary by 5/3.

Also, would you share with us (perhaps by including raw data we could play with in Excel) salaries per years of experience?
