Our SIXTH annual conference will be held on February 16, 2012 at Jerusalem Renaissance Hotel.

A Short Note About Techshoret
Techshoret is an email discussion list dedicated to serving the needs of technical writers in Israel. It has existed for well over a decade. As of November, 25, 2010, we had 2020 members in our Yahoo Group (a number that is constantly on the rise! For the last few years, Techshoret has hosted an annual conference, bringing together technical writers and other professionals interested in networking, learning about the latest technologies and trends in our field. In 2011, we took the important step towards adding MARCOM professionals of our “sister” list – MarcShoret to the community and the list of scheduled sessions – believing that these two audiences have much in common.

Techshoret began as (and remains) an online community of technical writers based in Israel and elsewhere. This means we care about each other, we share the events that are common to our community in a way that no other technical writing community can. For this reason, we have sections on this website about Israel, about members of our community that have been taken from us, either by illness or by terrorism, and we have information about our country.
In the last ten years, we expanded Techshoret activities to include this website, several events in the Jerusalem area and elsewhere, and as of this year, six annual conferences dedicated to issues of interest. We’ve been running regular Salary Surveys for the last two years and plan more in the future.
Techshoret, a play on the Hebrew word for “communication” currently has over 2,020 list members. The list is often the first stop for a writer with a question about a tool or terminology question; the perfect place for an employer to announce a new job opportunity or find a technical writer to fill a job opening. We are always looking for new additions to our Web site.

We should be uploading a page about Courses in the near future. I can tell you that my company – WritePoint Ltd. – is starting our next course in Jerusalem on February 6th (you can contact us at seminars@writepoint.com) and another course in the north right after Pesach.
