A Short Note About Techshoret

Techshoret is an email discussion list dedicated to serving the needs of technical writers in Israel. It has existed for over a decade. It includes over 1950 members and is currently a Yahoo Group. You can join Techshoret by sending an email to: . This site contains information about subscription information, rules, archive directions, login info, etc.)

Techshoret began as (and remains) an online community of technical writers based in Israel and elsewhere. This means we care about each other, we share the events that are common to our community in a way that no other technical writing community can. For this reason, we have sections on this website about Israel, about members of our community that have been taken from us, either by illness or by terrorism, and we have information about our country.

In the last five years, we have expanded Techshoret activities to include this website, which hosts the invaluable Techshoret Resume Database, several events in the Jerusalem area and elsewhere, and most recently, the second full-day conference dedicated to issues of interest.

For those looking for employment...and those looking for a technical writer, a graphic artist, a translator, programmer, web designer, etc.  to hire for in-house work or on a project base, the Techshoret Resume Database contains dozens of resumes of talented people who are available to deliver their services.

Ultimately, this Web site furthers the goals of our community by offering information about the list. For more information, see:

Techshoret, a play on the Hebrew word for "communication" currently has over 1950 list members. The list is often the first stop for a writer with a question about a tool or terminology question; the perfect place for an employer to announce a new job opportunity or find a technical writer to fill a job opening. We are always looking for new additions to our Web site.

If you have a resource, job position, upcoming event, or something of interest, please send a message to our Webmaster ().
